When the COVID-19 crisis substantially disrupted global retail, The Dubai Mall, the world's largest shopping centre, had to quickly pivot to prioritize its digital presence. Home to 1200 stores including 150 premier luxury brands, the mall sought to replicate its in-store experience and brand hierarchy online.

As the lead experience designer, I shaped the visual design, user experience, and architecture of the new digital platform while mentoring a small, globally distributed design team.

A big challenge was that each brand wanted their own unique home page, similar to stores in a mall. So, I built a flexible layout with a set of interchangeable components.
