Standardising Clinical Trial Interfaces for AstraZeneca

I built the design system for Unify, a clinical trial platform developed by Deloitte for AstraZeneca. My work ensured consistency, accessibility, and compliance, while also educating the design team on atomic design principles, setting a foundation for scalable, user-friendly medical software.

Challenges & Outcomes
  • Ensuring design consistency across multiple applications → Unify was a large-scale platform with several interconnected tools used by researchers and healthcare professionals. I developed a scalable design system, ensuring uniformity and efficiency across all interfaces.
  • Meeting strict accessibility and compliance standards → As a Class II medical device, Unify had to comply with strict regulatory and accessibility requirements (AAA WCAG standards). I ensured that all UI components adhered to best practices for usability and compliance.
  • Educating the team on design systems → At the time, design systems were a new concept, and many designers were unfamiliar with component-based design. I conducted team workshops and training sessions, aligning everyone on atomic design principles and best practices.
  • Supporting the acceleration of clinical trials → Unify helped streamline clinical trials—a key factor in accelerating the development of critical medicines, including the COVID-19 vaccine. My work ensured that the design system was robust, user-friendly, and scalable, supporting researchers in their work.

Due to confidentiality agreements, I am unable to share images of this project. However, you can learn more about Unify on its official website.

3Dctrl: Making 3D Creation Accessible to Everyone

Details

I designed the UX/UI, brand identity, and design system for 3Dctrl, a real-time 3D content creation tool. My work made 3D design accessible to non-professionals, translating complex workflows into an intuitive, user-friendly experience.
