The Dubai Mall Ecommerce

As the pandemic struck the global retail market, the biggest mall in the world, The Dubai Mall needed to shift towards to digital direction very quickly. The mall houses 1200 stores of which 150 are high-end luxurious brands. So the same in-store dynamics and hierarchy were applied to the online experience.

As I always prefer, I stayed as a hands-on designer too and built the look and feel and structure by myself in addition to other responsibilities coming with the lead role. I coached a small design team that are spread to different time zones. I built a feedback, request and delivery mechanism through Jira and Figma, the design system I built over atomic design infrastructure allowed us to iterate ideas at any stage.
